From tomorrow (Thursday) Google Streetview will cover every UK road.

Pictures of nearly every street in the country, from the Shetlands to Penzance, are to be made available via Google. From Thursday, the search giant’s Streetview technology will feature 360-degree images of more than 99 per cent of the United Kingdom’s roads, both rural and urban, covering a total of approximately 238,000 miles.

Its up and running and the whole of Lee is on it except for the bottom of Cherque.

It looks like Lee-on-Solent was photographed on Friday 12th June 2009.
The Bun Penny is closed for refurbishment and there is a News sign outside the Co-op mentioning the IOW Festival. Its early in the day and its a weekday but not wednesday because the Library is open.
In Gosport they are advertising the Big Day Out (14th June).
Of course it may be that it took more than one day to do Lee.

Well they did our part of Cherque Farm on a Friday morning as the recycling bins are all still out but have been emptied by the looks of it!

It has been done over a period of time on the same day possibly because looking along DND there are shots with cars on drives and bins outside you move along the road and look back and they have vanished!!

Green top bin day was the 12th so that would be my guess.

They were taken after 11:15 in the morning when my bin was emptied as I notice it has been moved..
